Rainbow Light Prenatal One Multivitamin Review

Is Rainbow Light Prenatal One Multivitamin a high quality prenatal vitamin?

10971_jo_prenatal1Rainbow Light Prenatal One Multivitamin is a near perfect prenatal vitamin. It is hard to find a prenatal vitamin to fit everyone's nutritional needs and Rainbow Light has come very close to doing so. The only thing keeping it from being considered a high quality prenatal vitamin is the absence of DHA and Co-Q10. There are forms of DHA that are derived from algae and not fish, which would work for their target market of vegans and vegetarians. Until then, if you decide to take Rainbow Light, we suggest taking a separate CoQ10, vegetarian DHA and Calcium supplement to make sure you and your baby get the appropriate nutrients.

The Bottom Line…

If you are on a strict diet, prefer to avoid animal products, and artificial ingredients, Rainbow Light Prenatal One is a great prenatal vitamin for you. It does not contain some of the high quality ingredients we look for and it lacks in the calcium department so I suggest taking additional  DHA, Calcium, and CoQ10 supplements to make up for it. It may become pricey to take all these additional supplements but these additional nutrients are a must for you and your baby.

Hi~ So happy I found this site. Im 10 weeks pregnant & my dr prescribed me prenates. I read what was in them, something that I never used to do. I found it to be so disgusting! Sorbitol, titanium dioxide red and blue dye, hydroginated veggie oil! I started crying.. So I came across Rainbow Lite.. Im not a vegan but a vegetarian..Im going to start taking it along with coq10 n dha – Would you please recommend the most natural brand? How many mg do I take of each? Thank you so very much.
